When Ọmọtayo joined Eziaha wellness Co in January, she was “naive but ready to give it what it takes.” Today, she is 5kg lighter, fitting into her old clothes again, feeling more confident, and—most importantly—realizing just how capable she is.
Here’s Ọmọtayo’s story of consistency, growth, mindset shifts, and joyful transformation.
Question
You joined the cycle in January this year—naive but ready to give it what it takes. Look at you now, doing it like a pro. Over this period, you have lost 5 kg. What does that change mean to you personally?
Answer
Truly, I was naive and didn’t know what to expect. But now, at the end of the cycle, seeing what I’ve been able to accomplish, the changes I’ve seen in my mind and in my body…… all I can say is, Ọmọtayo, You are well Able and Capable!!!
This journey has shown me that I can commit, stay consistent, and achieve whatever I set my mind to.
Question
You had certain expectations when you first joined. Can you share what those expectations were? Have you achieved them, and how do you feel now compared to then?
Answer
My major expectation was to fit into my old clothes, and now I’m beginning to fit back into them. And, as a bonus, I can now wear certain styles conveniently without fear of my stomach bulging, and that is the sweetest feeling ever, which also helps to double my confidence when I step out, without the “you are fine or your outfit is cool, but this your stomach sha.”

Question
There was a time when it was really a struggle, keeping up with your meals, tracking your sleep hours, and staying consistent with detox. How did that journey change you physically, emotionally, and mentally, even during that season?
Answer
My major struggle was Detox. I quickly adapted to the meal plan and meal portions. But that detox was a real struggle. But with the last Detox for the end of the cycle, I did a mental reset and told myself:
- It’s just for a week.
- Shift focus from restriction to nourishment.
Remove the focus from what you can eat or cannot eat; the plan has all you need for sustenance. So, it’s not about food but about sustenance (more like, have I given my body what it needs to survive today? Yes! Then we forget about ingestion until the next day).
Once that was settled, the pressure reduced.
Also, prepping my smoothie and drinks ahead helped. I prepped and labelled them and put them in the freezer, so I’d just bring out what I needed for the day.
That structure made consistency much easier.
Question
We understand your work can be quite hectic, and of course, being a mom and wife. What small habits or mindset shifts helped you stay consistent regardless?
Answer
Meal planning and prepping to the rescue.
That saved me a lot of hassles and temptations.
Even when I had to eat out, I had already prepared my mind from the start of the day, so I could make better choices.

Question
Apart from detox and sharing your meals, what other challenging moments did you experience during the program, and how did you overcome them?
Answer
It is only Detox that is on this table ooooo; every other thing might be stretching, but it wasn’t challenging (I welcomed the stretch and also grew through it).
Question
If you had to draw inspiration from within the group, who inspired you? Also, if someone outside the group inspired you, who was it and how?
Answer
That would be Marvelous Oyediji. I saw her before Coach’E Nation picture from January last year (she was bigger than I currently am), and seeing what she looked like as of October last year, I was dumbfounded. So, seeing her transformation was all the inspiration I needed on this journey.
Question
What is one “aha moment” or proud moment you had along the way?
Answer
My proud moment will definitely be when my students told me I no longer look pregnant after like 3 weeks (I never knew I looked pregnant; I just feel I have a big tummy, and there is no big deal about that).
Question
If someone is unsure about joining, what would you tell them based on your experience over the past year(s)?
Answer
Please join, for the most joyful weight loss experience, because every time I get to talk to someone about my journey, it’s always with joy and never with complaint or “it’s soooo hard.” It’s always with a, “It’s not such a big deal.”
And with this, I would like to say a really big thank you to Captain (Coach’E) and Toyin (Coaching Assistant) for all their assistance, promptings, reviews, and loud celebrations of our little wins. All these culminate in making the weight loss journey a truly joyful one.
Ọmọtayo’s journey is a beautiful reminder that transformation is about so much more than the number on the scale.
Yes, she lost weight, but along the way, she also gained confidence, built consistency, pushed through challenges, and discovered something powerful about herself: she is truly able and capable.
