When we started this cycle after the Christmas break, everyone came in with a different mindset.
Some came ready for a reset. Some were anxious about staying consistent. Some simply wanted to lose the extra weight they had carried for years. Others were navigating busy schedules, motherhood, work, travel, and everything in between.
But six weeks later, something became clear:
The biggest wins were not always found on the scale.
They were found in the decision to show up again after falling off. In choosing to pack a healthier meal for work instead of stopping at a fast-food joint. In fitting into clothes that hadn’t fit in a while. In becoming stronger, fitter, and more confident. In learning to see food differently. In trusting the process.
And perhaps most importantly, in discovering that consistency is possible—even when life isn’t perfect.
We asked our citizens four simple questions about their journey over the past six weeks. We asked each of them about their mindset at the start of the programme, the wins they’re most proud of, what has helped them along the way, and what makes them proud of themselves today.
Their answers give us a glimpse into the real stories behind the transformation—one citizen, one journey, and one win at a time.

Question
Remember we came into the cycle after a Christmas break. What was your mindset like at the beginning of the programme, and how has it shifted over the past six weeks?
Answer
I just wanted to lose the extra weight I’d had for about 3 years. I was scared about how the meal plans would be. I was pleasantly surprised when I realised the meal plans were actually decent. I somehow had the mindset before that I would ‘suffer’ through the weight loss process, but that has not been the case. I had meals I actually enjoy and was full with even smaller portions than I’d been used to all my life.

I’m thankful I signed up.

Answer
I was in the cycle prior to the break. My mindset so far has been that this is a lifestyle and not one and done. I think the main thing for me over time is that I no longer view food as entertainment but as fuel, so while I still have some lapses, I’ve learned to not just eat for eating’s sake.

These stories are a reminder that transformation is not always about how quickly the number on the scale changes. Sometimes, the biggest wins are the habits you build, the discipline you develop, the confidence you gain, and the decision to keep going even when it gets hard.
Our citizens showed up, stayed the course, and discovered that small, consistent choices can lead to meaningful change.
Your journey could be the next one we celebrate.
